I am not happy with this product…I have been a user of Print Shop…it is not user-friendly…the “help” section is not helpful…the user guide is not helpful…the help section information on adding a border to a document conflicts with, and/or is missing information compared to the user guide…it took me hours trying to figure out how to make this one document…once you select a border design, it does not “fit” exactly around the border edges…when I printed the document, the border was not even on all sides and it was not flush with the edges, leaving some bare spots…I will try to create a business card on it…if it’s not as user-friendly as Print Shop, and if it cannot be easily created within minutes, I will return it and go back to Print Shop.

This program had lots of hype. It’s supposed to be the best publishing program out there. Well, I just don’t agree. First of all, it’s difficult to use because the terms for everything are not regular words. Yes, the program is English, but the terms seem to be made up words that you just can’t figure out.
I tried and tried to use it, and had very limited success. It’s supposed to be very good for newsletters.
I think while it can do a few specific things well, it was just not worth the money – and I got it on a wonderful sale.
If you already have any publishing program, save your money.

This appears to be a very powerful desktop publishing program for a very modest cost. It takes a little getting used to, and I need a lot more practice to be able to do a fair review. It links well with other programs of Serif (PhotoPlus and DrawPlus) to expand the editing capabilities. For the price, I am very pleased with the product and need a little more experience to review further.

I have enjoyed this product. The flexibility is good and allows me to be more creative than microsoft publisher. I would recommend this product.

Have used various software programs like Pagemaker, Corel, etc. over the years, but needed new software with Windows 7 to create items for small business. PagePlus x4 has all that, including templates to get you started. Video tutorials helpful, but wish they had more and longer ones for new users. Tutorials are fast paced and geared more for experienced users. Like most new software, no manual came with it, but was able to download the PDF file from Serif website to refer to (manual sells for $40). For the price it’s a great software to meet your graphic needs whether it be for business, school or fun. Recommend you buy or download the manual to refer to.
